Summary

Senior product engineer and tech lead. I own products end to end, from the first spec and the architecture to deployment and monitoring, and I lead the teams that build them. I drive AI through my work in code, video, voice, and automation: I decide what each model does, and I check what it gives back. People bring me work that is hard to make sense of, and I make it clear to everyone who has to live with it.

  1. April 2025 to present

    Ascend (formerly FlyFlat), Austin, Texas. Remote.

    Senior Frontend-Focused Software Engineer

    • Named the company's Star of the Month twice: October 2025 and August 2026.
    • Own frontend specs and implementation end to end, including the backend-for-frontend endpoints the screens depend on.
    • Designed and built two self-owned features from the first sketch to production: a Notion-style Trips Workspace for the concierge team, and the analytics dashboard leadership uses to read the business.
    • Run deployments, CI/CD, and monitoring across the frontend apps, with PostHog observability and Slack alerts.
    • Take part in product roadmap decisions. Found and documented the root cause of inconsistent partner reporting across three unconnected systems.
    • Traced wrong trip lengths to the AI model that reads flight screenshots, found the flights it misreads, and added a warning for them.

  2. February 2024 to present

    OutSmark Solutions, Cairo. Remote.

    Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead

    • Lead a team of four engineers on the company's consultancy SaaS platform, its integrated apps, and its AI agents.
    • Design, build, and ship the platform's AI agents and automations. Own the platform's infrastructure and integrations.
    • Led the architecture that consolidated four separate products into one guided platform.
    • Run requirements work directly with clients, write PRDs and SRS documents, and run in-house technical consultations.

  3. September 2024 to present

    Smart Civic Solutions, Cairo. Remote.

    Software Engineering Team Lead

    • Lead a team of five developers and designers on the full digital presence of therapist Yasmine Madkour: a bilingual public website, a page builder, an admin dashboard, and an end-to-end booking system.
    • Wrote a complete documentation site for the platform.

  4. January 2025 to May 2025

    AZcare, San Jose, California. Remote.

    Mid-Senior Full-Stack Engineer

    • Built two major features and one large enhancement and refactor on an AI-based doctor search and scheduling platform. Fixed 40+ bugs.
    • Documented the full micro-frontend architecture: every app, component, and connection.

  5. June 2022 to February 2024

    AGC Tech Software House, Kuwait. Remote.

    Mid-level Full-Stack Engineer

    • Owned the full development of multiple API-first domains and built client websites.
    • Accountable for keeping all API documentation current. Provided on-call support.

    • Built and maintained client systems across industries: a dental clinic management system, a restaurant platform with point of sale, an online store, and business websites.

  7. September 2018 to January 2020

    Junior Software Developer and Database Administrator

    • Managed the office's transactional MySQL database and schema. Wrote Python scripts for data ingestion and transformation, and built desktop tools the staff used daily.

Partnerships

  • Wagdi Abo Elliel, food creator. Partner for his whole digital presence: software, automations, his professional site, and video production.
  • NabatX, Saudi Arabia. Built a bilingual marketplace with timed auctions and an internal price-intelligence tool. An AI agent built the first version; I tested it with seven simulated users, who found thirty-nine problems. In validation with the client.
  • AI video production. Directing production of two training programs made with AI video, including a remote-work learning track rebuilt in Egyptian Arabic, where a native listener approves every voice. Built the client review portal for scripts, voiceovers, and cuts.
  • Neuroom, UAE. My company, being established. It will hold my own products and client services.
